THE LEON AND MARY FIELDS ORGANIZATION –LIVE the DREAM to BE the CHANGE

Is a private grass roots organization eager to embrace change, one that seeks and pursues new ideas, leading the way beyond bureaucracy to provide lasting support for people we serve by simply asking people to care. We are committed to becoming even more aggressive and creative in identifying and servicing the needs of those who suffer through homelessness as well as people with HIV and AIDS without judgment, without prejudice and without attitude.

Mission

To restore dignity, respect, pride, honor and positive touch to the homeless community as well as people living with HIV and AIDS, by providing basic items such as, but not limited to hygiene kits, clean clothes, healthy nutritious meals and friendship which we believe will help to restore and encourage in a positive way on their paths and the ability to at least try to live the American Dream. “Connection without bureaucracy.”

The Leon and Mary Fields Organization reflects the spirit of America. The timeless core values that made this nation strong are the same values that make this organization strong.

• A belief that our heritage mirrors the optimism, inclusion and integrity of all people, including homeless people as well as those who suffer through and live with HIV and AIDS.

• A belief that taking advantage of the right opportunities to help the homeless population and those with HIV and AIDS will continue to lead us to success in all that we do. 


PHILOSOPHY 

This organization clearly recognizes that homelessness, HIV and AIDS in this nation is paramount, and that all actions, strategies, outreaches and approaches to assist them, must be directed toward providing solutions to better and effectively serve these populations which are being ignored and neglected.

Aggressive implementation of the organizations outreach programs Do Something Saturday~that empowers people and Unpluggin HIV~empowering a positive life, as well as careful and thorough planning of programs and services such as Kick Start Meals, Do Something Kits, Life Kits and other services will provide this organization with an important edge.

We are committed to open and honest communication with the people we serve. We seek to be proactive in making certain that the rights and privileges guaranteed to Americans under the United States Constitution are not trampled upon simply because someone is homeless or infected with HIV or AIDS. We are committed to unconditional love and respect that all this nations' people deserve regardless of their current living or medical situations and conditions. 

We also realizes that our strength lies in our skill, good judgment and talent of our many volunteers whose sole purpose for assisting is for the well being of humanity. With each Do Something Saturday and Unpluggin HIV outreach, in addition to Kick Start Meals program and other services, this organization rebuilds the character, self respect, dignity and pride of the people we serve. In doing this we rebuild strong humans and give them the tools for successful living. This isn't a new approach to assistance; it's an old approach called, LOVE and RESPECT for humanity without conditions, help without disrespect, compassion without contempt, care without ego, and “Connection without bureaucracy.”
